Never too Young

My daughter woke me up the morning of my birthday and asked me to come down to the kitchen. I walked in to the kitchen to be greeted by a freshly baked cake, breakfast, a flower, and a special recording on my cell phone!! You see she got up at 5:00 AM to bake me that cake and make this morning special! Did I mention she was only 12 years old and made the bus in time for school? I was moved to tears of joy! I was proud of her to think beyond herself and really be giving and loving towards others. In that moment she went beyond what she thought she was capable of doing and what joy it brought to me on my birthday! She really showed me too that we are never too young to go beyond our routine and comfort zone for others!
