I'm too busy, too tired, too afraid of the unknown
I Wasn't perfect.. I need to start over.
I am not smart enough
What if I fail and my kids think I'm an idiot!
There's not enough time, so why bother.
This is just a funk, I'll just let it run it's course...
I'll start tomorrow...
Judgement from others.....
Stay true to yourself and who you are becoming. No need to play small to please others.
It's too hard and no one believes I can really do it, so I probably can't.
I'll wait until the kids go back to school, right now there isn't enough time.
Got a new one... ex-husband got remarried ( # 3) this weekend. My son tells me he is getting a new mommy and that she is a good one because she really trys hard to make him happy. Ouch! but that is one of my excuses!!!!!! I see it now. I excuse my "extra" spending beacuse it is for Adam in the hopes of making him happy! I skip a workout, or shorten it because I wouldn't want to upset my child! what if he likes her better?! what if, like he tells me all the time, he chooses to go live with his dad full time when he is old enough to decide for himself? What if, god forbid, being the best MOTHER for him, means I am the one who has too do all the teaching , scolding, guiding, vegetable feeding , and he isn't happy when he is with me because of it. Surely I can't let that happen right. Of course I have to take a back seat to his needs and above all make sure he likes me as much as his dad and now new step mother.

Fact. I am a woman first, a mother second, and a buddy third. I can make all the excuses I want, but unless I set that example for my son, then he will not only have a mom that is in and out of happiness, but he will go out inot the world expecting women to take care of him, like his father has. So this week my goal is balance. To begin to stand firm with my son, and have a healthy balance of together time, parenting time, and me time. He also need me time too. My keeping him entertained is stunting his ability to create his own happiness.
