I'm so glad everyone is out having a wonderful summer. Due to so many members out having a good time and unable to attend the meeting this week I decided to reschedule. Please consider getting together in August for a day at the beach or for a nice lunch. Count me in!

Good call on canceling the GODI...did you see the forecast this morning? It's going to be hot, hot, hot! Any Jersey members have a good family, non-touristy type beach to visit? I'll take any suggestions! Have a wonderful day ladies! Stay cool!

Hi Ladies,

I just received a severe weather warning from my on-line weather website. They have issued an excessive heat & humidity warning for the next few days and I think it's in our best interest to cancel our GODI at the Historic Smithville Park on Saturday, June 26th . I will reschedule it when the weather looks a little better for a hike. I hope you all understand...I would rather have you enjoy our GODI and not go home wiped out from the heat.

Perhaps next time we should meet at the beach? Good idea!

Please contact me at klausner4@yahoo.com or 609.654.5485 if you have any questions. Have a great week and stay cool! Darla

I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to our meeting last night. Once again we had a great time with loads of laughs. I hope everyone took something from our great discussion and will try to add more fun and enjoyment into your daily life. Let's get working on our bucket list ladies. I'll look into sky diving, discounted trips to Greece and Hawaii. I'll even try to find a place to bungee jump! I'm sorry to say that we all missed the nude bike riding event in Philadelphia. We'll have to wait until next year! NOT! ☺

I think everyone agreed the Book Swap Cafe is the place to have our meetings and shop for used books too! I have reserved a spot for our July meeting...stay tuned!

Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend!

This sure is a busy time of year for school events. Tonight I went to my oldest sons first band concert. As I listened to him play it suddenly hit me that he's not my baby any longer but a responsible young man. I didn't think I'd be so composed about it but I'm actually OK with my son growing up and perhaps not needing Mom as much. When he needs me for guidance or as a friend I'll be there for him. For now I won't hug him or act goofy in front of his friends. I promise to do the robot only in the house and not in Target. I'll still sing loud and clear when the situation arises. Thanks for the great advice Suzy B! I guess what I'm trying to say is that as my kids grow up I'm growing too and I'm happy. Beyond the Bus Stop has truly helped find the ME in mommy again and I'm very thankful tonight.

My children and I were very happy to be part of it. They left very excited, especially after watching two kids finished the run. My children took me to the park yesterday, not to play but to practice running. They were talking about doing this two times week. They would like to run next time. I guess I don't need the YMCA to run, I have three motivations. Thank you Darla, for letting us be part of it. We really did enjoy it.

Well at the begining of July, I turned 30, which got me thinking about the next 10 years, which lead me to this list: 1. Finish Masters Degree in Counseling 2. Lose 30 pounds (and keep it off) 3. Quit "temporary" job (technically did this yesterday…
