Excuses Begone!: How to
Change Lifelong, Self-Defeating Thinking Habits
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer reveals how to change the self-defeating thinking
patterns that have prevented you from living at the highest levels
of success, happiness, and health. Even though you may know what to
think, actually changing those thinking habits that have been with
you since childhood might be somewhat challenging. If I
changed, it would create family dramas... I'm too old or too
young... I'm far too busy and tired... I can't afford the things I
truly want... It would be very difficult for me to do things
differently... and I've always been this way... may all seem
to be true, but they're in fact just excuses. It is time to toss
out the same tired excuses and start examining your beliefs in a
new and truthful light.

Suzy's Review: Are you ready to
get rid of your excuses for good? Read this
book!

pound-or just to maintain your current weight? Respected health and
wellness expert and bestselling author Jillian Michaels has been

and discovered that she'd inadvertently been abusing her endocrine
system for years. After "fixing" her own metabolism, she decided to
share what she learned by devising this simple, 3-phase plan that
engages all the weight-loss hormones.

skeptical of fad nutrition books that are part of a TV program. You
see the curious skeptic in me is always on the look out for the
real deal. With the success of The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels
has done her homework. It is all about eating organic, selecting
whole foods, regulating sugar intake and most of all getting

The End of Overeating:
Taking Control of the Insatiable American Appetite
David Kessler

Kessler surveys food production and distribution as reflected in
both restaurants and grocery stores. He finds that the system
foists on the American public foods overloaded with fats, sugars,
and salt. Each of these elements, consumed in excess, has been
linked to serious long-term health problems. Such nutritionally
unbalanced foods propel people into uncontrolled behavior patterns
of irrational eating. These persistent psychological and sensory
stimuli lead to what Kessler terms "conditioned hypereating," which
he believes is a disease rather than a failure of willpower.
Kessler identifies the cues that lead to overeating and offers some
simple, practical tools to help control one's impulses.

Suzy's Review: This is a book I
want to read. I am very concerned about the obesity crisis in
America. So many people ask me how they can get control of their
eating. As a beachbody coach I am on a mission to promote health
and fitness for the only cue to obesity we are all facing. I think
we should read this and find out ways we can be part of the
solution.

Suzy's Review: This is a great

a short read and a modern eye opener to age old

Stopping: How to Be Still
When You Have to Keep Going David
Kundtz

Kundtz's radical self-help book says that the best thing to do to
improve one's life is nothing. Yup, nothing--just stopping awhile
and seeing what happens. Kundtz contends that many today suffer
from living on "the mountain of too much." They have tried to deal
with overloaded lives very typically, cramming more into each hour
and cutting back on some things. Trouble is, they have reached the
point where they can't cram more into the little time they have,
and they are cutting out pleasurable things (lunch, friends,
holidays) to try to accommodate crowded schedules. Stop and smell
the roses sometimes to enjoy life more.

Suzy's Review: This is a great
read for anyone who is overscheduled and can't seem to slow down.
After I read this book I realized coming to a grinding halt is part
of enjoying life. The book suggests you take time off for yourself
whether it is an hour, a day, or for a week. We all need the
unscheduled pace from our very hectic lives. I think I need to
re-read this one!

The Success
Principles Jack Canfield

When it comes to success, Canfield knows of what he speaks: he is
co-creator, with Mark Victor Hansen, of the seemingly endless
Chicken Soup for the Soul series. He presents 64 success principles
that he claims "always work"-and draws on his own experience and
that of others to illustrate them. Sixty-four principles may seem
like a lot, but each receives a concise, easy-to-digest chapter
that challenges readers to risk creating their lives exactly as
they want them. Many of the principles are familiar-e.g., "Take
100% Responsibility for Your Life".

Suzy's Review: This is a great
book when you are ready to take an idea or business to the next
level. It does take some time to read but, it is a great resource
to soar to new heights.
