Stop Choosing to be Overweight or Unhealthy

Take control of your weight/health now to reduce the possibility of suffering serious complications. Having tried and failed in the past is no excuse to give up on yourself now. Dr. Phil spells out the most common weight loss pitfalls so that you can avoid them.

Making excuses.
What is your excuse? "I don't have time to work out? I'm too busy working?" Get real! is "You either get it or you don't." What is making you fat? It isn't your schedule or your metabolism or your willpower. Stop making excuses.

Suzy says--once you believe that you won't turn back to excuses anymore.

Letting your weight be your payoff.
"People Do What Works." How is your weight working for you? What is your payoff for being overweight? Does the weight protect you by providing a barrier? Is the weight a form of rebellion? Do you get attention from it by playing the victim? Is your overeating a way of getting pleasure? Accept that you have chosen to be overweight because of the payoff, and have stayed overweight by having a lifestyle that contributes to it.

Suzy says--If you are ready to give up the payoff there are great solutions for success.

Dieting!
Diets don't work because dieting is not a long-term solution. If you diet to lose weight, you'll gain the weight back once you get off the diet. Remember, you behave your way to success. There are no quick fixes.

Suzy says-- Select a lifestyle change, be patient and use support.

Responding to triggers.

What triggers you to overeat? Is it a certain time of the day? Do you turn to food when you get upset? "You can't change what you don't acknowledge." So you need to be honest about how you are using food, and change the way you respond to your triggers.

Suzy says-- Start paying attention to when you eat and why.

Listening to internal dialogue.

What is your internal dialogue saying? That you're a failure? A quitter? That you'll never lose weight? If so, you need to change these limiting beliefs because they are sabotaging your efforts. How will you change if you don't believe you can change? How can you lose the weight this time if deep down you believe that the outcome is predestined and that you are destined to fail?

Suzy says-- You are what you believe, so choose wisely. Use the support available at BTBS.

Train’s new album “California 37″ and They Are Touring!

Train is a band that I always forgot about but when I hear them they make me smile.  They have been around since 1998 with “Meet Virgina” from their debut album.  Their second album had “Drops of Jupiter” and then came “Save Me, San Francisco” with hits “Hey, Soul Sister”, “If It’s Love” and “Marry Me.”  One of my friends actually used “Marry Me” at her wedding.  I am not sure why I don’t stick with them, but with their new album I am again hooked.  Their newest single “Drive By” is a catchy tune that I find myself singing everytime its on.   I think it was Train too that just played on a tv show I watch! So if you are a fair-weather Train fan like me or die-hard fan, don’t forgot to check out their new amazing album!  I just haven’t decided if I am downloading a few songs or the whole album!Check…See More
