Profile Information

Tell us a little something about yourself.
I grew up in a town of 1,600 people in Northeast Nebraska. After being in the Nebraska Foster Care System for six years, I was adopted at the age of 10 with two of my half brothers. All three of us were abused and neglected in different manners throughout our lives. A few years ago, I met my biological father and his family. I am grateful to have them in my life. I also keep in touch with my biological mother, though the relationship is strained. At the age of 16, I became pregnant and decided that open adoption would be the best decision for my child. We see him about once a year. It is always a fun experience for my two boys to hang out with him and his parents.

I have an Associates of Arts degree specializing in Speech Communication and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Language Arts (7th-12th grades: speech, drama, journalism, & English teacher). I am 29 years old with a generous husband and two young boys. My husband and I met in an English class during college. For the first 5 years of our marriage, we blissfully spent most of our days and evenings together. We always wanted children, but did not realize the strain it would put on our rock solid relationship. Now we work opposite shifts and hardly ever see each other. The dream I have “beyond my bus stop” is working beside my husband as we did before having children.

Currently, I am working 40+ hours as an office manager for a water treatment company outside of the home, as well as a Beachbody coach from my home. Being an office manager provides reprieve from my busy home and sharpens my awareness for the talents given to me from God. Coaching allows me to spend time with my children and teach them the value of healthy choices by being an example. Spending quality time with my children is my principal blessing.
What would you like to change or improve?
My goal is to someday only work from home as a Beachbody coach while encouraging moms through Beyond the Bus Stop®. My husband and I look forward to grand adventures together, with our family being integral to the success of each journey, even as we use and develop specific talents to achieve the Lord’s will in our lives.

Someday I am going to be Dr. Clay. I plan on getting my masters in family counseling and then going on to be a psychologist. I have registered to start my Masters this FALL!!!

Most of all I want to be at peace & happy!
What are your 3 main goals in this area?
1. Build relationships with people from all walks of life looking to becoming fit both physically & financially.
2. Work from home so that I can spend more time with my boys & husband.
3. Go back to school.
How can others help you to achieve your goals?
ACCOUNTABILITY!
Moms, let’s come together to voice our joys, victories, failures, & fears without pretense of offensive judgment!
Let’s commit to one another in exploring our deepest dreams!
Let’s chose plans that allow those dreams to become a reality!
Let’s continue to support one another as we voyage towards being the finest woman we can be, which will make us the best mom we can be!

How can we speak of a rainbow

without having witnessed it on the open prairie?

Its full expanse framed by the endless sky and gentle land

Its slight glimmer reflected in the waves of golden tall grass

The Sleep Solution: 4 Ways to Get the Rest You Need to Boost Results!

The Sleep Solution: 4 Ways to Get the Rest You Need to Boost Results!
By Denis Faye
Sometimes, people get so caught up in hammering workouts and cutting calories that they forget that half of getting great results is recovery. And one of the greatest tools in the recovery arsenal is a good night's sleep. It heals your mind and your body and, frankly, just makes you feel good.

But getting 8 hours between the sheets isn't always as easy as it sounds. If you're like most of us, you probably slept… Continue
