Why is it so important to name a thing? In ancient Mythology, naming an adversary strips that opponent of power. I believe that naming a thing gives you authority and purpose. The “real” name should tell its story, should hold history and honor its past. To name a thing brings truth to its spirit.
A name prophesies over the life and God’s purpose for the soul. As a life changes, so should its name. God changed the names of many influential people throughout our history. I have often wondered why God changes Jacob’s name, but not Mary’s. My husband and I took great care to name our boys after our history, The Lord’s purpose, and their future destiny.
In the same respect, naming your issue with lack of motivation or poor health, is your first step in transferring power from the issue to YOU. Name it, disclaim its hold on you, formulate a doable plan for change, follow your plan, surround yourself with like minded people, SUCCEED in kicking your issue’s butt.
